"Desiree's Baby" and "The Third Level"

the both stories have the ironic endings. The letter from Armand's mother to his father was the tragic because he knew that he was half black in the the Desiree's babe story. Sam sent to Charley about the third level which was humorous. I think that Armand felt guilty and sad for the death of his wife and son after he read the letter. Charley will try to find third level and he want to live over there after he received the letter from Sam. I think that ending of the Desiree's babe was the more surprising and realistic because Armand's life suddenly changed and it was the unexpected true for him. The third level is not real place and Charley just imagined by himself.
